Position Summary:

Under general direction of the Global EHS Director, the Data Analyst exercises independent judgment in performing a variety of tasks necessary to track, analyze, and report on data and trends associated with key company programs. The work of the Data Analyst significantly influences the day-to-day and long-term operations of EHS. The selected candidate collects data from various sources, analyzes, interprets, and prepares reports in Excel, Word, and other programs as necessary. This individual shall be committed to transforming data into readable, goal-oriented reports that help the EHS team and overall organization drive innovation and growth. May be asked to travel on a limited preplanned basis.

Responsibilities of Position:

  1. Work directly with department leadership and EHS Subject Matter Experts to understand and maintain focus on their analytics needs, including critical metrics and key performance indicators, and deliver actionable insights to relevant decision makers.
  2. Develop data tracking tools, provide status updates, and formulate reports.
  3. Mine and compile qualitative and quantitative analyses of program data to be used in annual reports, reports to leadership, and other surveys.
  4. Create and maintain rich interactive visualizations through data interpretation and analysis, with reporting components from multiple data sources.
  5. Evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies. Develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and verifying data.
  6. Prepare clear and concise reports summarizing findings, trends, and recommendations for EHS leadership, safety committees, and other stakeholders.
  7. Create visualizations and dashboards to present safety and environmental data in an understandable and actionable format for leadership and safety personnel.
  8. Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement safety and environmental initiatives, awareness campaigns, and educational programs.
  9. Perform other job-related duties.

Skill Requirements:

  1. Ability to handle multiple assignments concurrently and independently in a time-sensitive, thorough, detail-oriented, and well-organized manner.
  2. Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques.
  3. Proficiency in Power BI or other data visualization tools for safety and environmental data analysis.
  4. Must have strong Microsoft Office skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word (e.g., create pivot tables, formulas, charts, graphs, and analytics).
  5. Proficiency in survey software (e.g., Microsoft forms, Survey Monkey) preferred.
  6. Attention to detail and a methodical approach to data analysis and reporting.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Ability to interact well with people of all ages, skill sets, and diverse backgrounds.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience performing analyses, programming/designing databases, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:

  1. Valid drivers’ license.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to work at a computer or desk for extended periods of time.

Working Conditions:

  1. Hybrid working environment, expected to be on-site 3 days per week and diligently work from home 2 days a week.
