Ideally these positions:Should have the ability and knowledge to participate and contribute alongside manufacturing and product engineering teams in defining a new product, as well as ensuring that said product will be feasible to be manufacturable. Purpose of the position:Responsible of the entire process of new platform development and launch, from specification and procurement to installation, debugging, and successful PPAP. Conducts diverse engineering tasks encompassing continues improvement, problem-solving, prototype construction, production, and process design, as well as process and product development. Ensures the manufacturing feasibility of new programs launches. Experience: Plastic industry (Injection, Extrusion, Blow Molding, etc.). Main function and responsibilities:Responsible for the APQP manufacturing tasks.Define manufacturing concepts for new programs.Conduct capacity analyses for new or life extension programs.Specify Capital equipment for new programs or life extension programs.Develop and manage industrialization timelines for new equipment in new projects or life extensions.Perform Capacity analyses on existing equipment.Design and/or procurement of all new equipment and tooling.Ensure new products are launched in a timely manner and maintained quoted profit margins.Ensure that effective Error Proofing are on all pieces of equipment.Ensure that all pieces of equipment and processes are process capable.Write and support the Blow Molding Trial report.Participate in or lead PFEMA activities.Lead continues improvement initiatives.Maintain quality levels and make improvements to increase levels of quality.Investigate potential cost reduction and implement cost-saving initiatives.Provide engineering support to resolve production issues.Write CAPEX requests for Capital Projects (current condition, investment, goal, payback, savings).Offer technical and analytical support to the Plant as required.Recommend materials for product designed and assess disposal methods of parts and materials.Maintain professional competence, knowledge, and skills for effective task execution.Ensure adequate safety and health controls for assigned activities.Implement continuous controls for environmental aspects within the company.Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.Ensure the safety of plant personnel is always maintained.Apply all OSHAS and EPA regulations.Travel extensively, averaging >= 50% of the time, potentially varying seasonally and not necessarily on a bi-weekly basis.
