Position Summary:

Administers plans, conducts and oversees engineering projects, manufacturing assignments, design feasibility along with new product launch knowledge, which all require expert application of engineering knowledge.


Responsibilities of Position:

1. Manages tooling, maintenance and manufacturing engineering functions.

2. Leads cost reduction and continuous improvement efforts.

3. Manages capital budget and projects.

4. Manages all facility related issues.

5. Supervises and directs members of the engineering department.

6. Tracks engineering related spending to budget.

7. Prepares capital budget.

8. Analyze processes and implement standard work procedures.

9. Other assignments as assigned.


Skill Requirements:

1. Regular and predictable attendance.

2. Broad technical and analytical engineering experience as applied to product design, manufacturing and process development as usually evidenced by completion of a degree in engineering or engineering technology.

3. In depth understanding of administrative functions including accounting and human resources.

4. Computer proficient.

5. Ability to communicate to groups, both written and orally and lead team activities.

6. Self starter.


Experience Requirements:

1. 5 to 10 years experience in manufacturing engineering.

2. At least 5 years managerial experience.

3. General knowledge of the TS16949/ISO14001 standards as they pertain to this position.


Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:

1. Valid drivers’ license.


Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time.

2. May travel to plant and customer sites.


Working Conditions:

1. Occasionally lifts and / or carries up to 70 pounds.

2. Maneuvers in, around and under factory and/or laboratory equipment on a regular and continuous basis.

3. Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting and bending.

Job Location Specific Requirements:

The Regional Manager Core Engineering Fluid Management Americas is responsible for leading the regional engineering organization to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and innovative product solutions. The role ensures alignment with global engineering strategies, drives continuous improvement, and supports business growth through strong technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration.Responsibilities of Position:Development and leader of the Core Engineering Fluid Management team.Execute development projects according to Step 0 AQP, on time, on spec, on budget for product release.Responsible for budget and head count planning.Define and secure project budgets and resource allocation.Generate skill matrix and secure proper trainings for the team.Ensure application engineering tasks, development projects, to be completed on time, on spec, on budget.Define and drive projects for product and process standardization.Define and drive cost reduction projects.Review and evaluate customer product requirements and ensure TI product conformity.Global alignment on development engineering activities, projects with the other regions and the supervisor.Business trips upon request.Carry over of additional tasks and responsibilities within the job description.Skill Requirements:Strong expertise in APQP, FMEA, and automotive development processesExperience with product validation and industrialization processesKnowledge of fluid management systems (preferred)Understanding of cost engineering and value analysisEducation and Experience Requirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldAdditional training in quality (APQP), design-to-cost, and design for manufacturing is advantageousAt least 8 years of experience in automotive product engineering, preferably in fluid management systemsMinimum 5 years of leadership experience in engineering organizationsProven track record in delivering complex engineering projectsStrong experience in cross-functional and international collaborationDemonstrated ability to drive change, standardization, and continuous improvementCompetencies:LeadershipStrong leadership and team development skillsAbility to lead in a matrix organizationExecutionStructured and analytical mindsetStrong problem-solving capabilitiesResults-driven with a pragmatic approachCommunicationExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to translate complex technical topics into business contextWays of WorkingProactive, autonomous, and adaptableAbility to manage multiple priorities in parallel 

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
