Position Summary:
Responsible for every day production and shift management
Responsibilities of Position:
- Supervises,coordinates, and reviews the work of all assigned staff.
- Evaluates and makes recommendations regarding methods and procedures in assigned area.
- Acts as a liaison with other departments.
- Prepares written reports concerning assigned aspect of work.
- Manages day-to-day departmental operation, assigns people to the appropriate jobs,authorizes overtime and controls cost.
- Acts as a liaison with other departments.
- Performs any assignments given by Operations Manager.
- Must be capable of making sound decisions and set job priorities.
- Set machine and maintenance repair priorities.
- Assure good safety and housekeeping practices are being followed.
- Assure production requirements are met, including logging information as required.
- Perform daily audits.
- Responsible for employee training, developing, and evaluating performance.
- Discipline employees as required based on established policies and procedures.
- Hold regular shift meetings with employees

- Ability to interact with co-workers,customers, vendors and visitors in a respectful and professional manner.
- Proven ability to work independently as well as multi-task.
- Strong organization skills.
- Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel,PowerPoint, etc).
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Physical Demands:
- Standing,walking, sitting for extended periods of time, bending, reaching and climbing stairs
Working Conditions:
- Works inside within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
- Noise:some above 85dcb with vibration
- Frequently work alone and more than 40 hours
Protective Equipment Required
- Eye and hearing protection a must
- Steel toe shoes
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Familiarity with computerized office systems and PC software
