Description:

Position Summary:

Position processes U.S. hourly payroll on a weekly basis and liaises with payroll administrators at the plant locations for timely payroll processing.


Responsibilities of Position:

1. Process the hourly payroll including calculation, printing and posting to ledger.

2. Process all hourly special payments.

3. Pay union dues for two union plants.

4. Complete mass pay rate changes for the plants.

5. Administer/balance 401k deferrals and loan payments (from pay checks).

6. Complete weekly 401k changes to employee records.

7. Filing/organization of information.

8. Back up salary payroll.

9. Assist in balancing payroll tax.

10. Assist will year end processing.

11. Serve as resident expert for all plant payroll inquiries.

12. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.


Skill Requirements:

1. Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc). UltiPro experience a plus.

2. Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

3. Three to five years of related experience in accounting field. Payroll experience preferred.

4. Knowledgeable with a variety of finance concepts and practices related to payroll.

5. Strong customer service/inter-personal and organizational skills.

6. Self-directed with a high degree of self- motivation.

7. Ability to work with highly confidential information.


Experience Requirements:

1. Two or more years of related experience.


Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:

1. Valid Drivers’ license.


Physical Requirements:

1. Must be available to work over Thanksgiving/Christmas to process payroll.

2. Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time.


Working Conditions:

1. Occasionally lifts and carries up to 15 pounds.

2. Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting and bending.

3. Works within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.
