Position Summary:

Manage engineering programs from concept through launch.


Responsibilities of Position:

1. Design, develop and validate product from concept to production.

2. Interface with account and platform managers as well as customers to determine product requirements.

3. Establish design parameters to ensure that product design is feasible for manufacturing.

4. Provide direction to designers with consideration for fabrication, processing and assembly of the product.

5. Implement design through a formal program of AQP.

6. Approve all product-engineering drawings: identify or establish performance and material specifications.

7. Analyze components for relevant failure modes and create formal documentation (DFMEA).

8. Validate all designs and prepare reports summarizing results (e.g., DVP&R).

9. Simplify and standardize current and new designs to maximize economic benefits.

10. Coordinate prototype orders, build and submission.

11. Ensure program objectives are met.

12. Other duties as assigned.


Skill Requirements:

4. Ability to communicate effectively.

5. Proficient in MS Office programs.


Experience Requirements:

1. 1-4 years related engineering experience.


Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:

1. Valid drivers’ license.


Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time.

2. Able to travel from work site to customer locations and other TI Fluid Systems facilities.


Working Conditions:

1. Occasionally lifts and carries up to 10 pounds.

2. Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting and bending.

3. Works within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and may be exposed to heat, cold and fumes/chemicals.

Job Location Specific Requirements:

 Position Summary:Support new and current product development/improvements by using CAE engineering & simulation tools to virtually verify product performance to meet customer requirementsSkill Requirements:High level of experience in modeling of vehicle and thermal management products and systems utilizing CFD, Structural Static and Dynamic solvers, Thermal, Vibration and Acoustics.Simulation experience with multi-physics is an advantageKnowledge of electrified vehicle battery and propulsion systems and heating/cooling methods Knowledge of thermal, brake and fuel systems, operation and impacts for electrified vehiclesAbility to manage program events such that engineering objectives are met.Self-directed with a high degree of self- motivation.Provides technical leadership to other engineers within TI Fluid Systems and develops unique and original solutions to complex technical problems or issues.Experience with CAD design software an advantage.Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Experience of project costing and budget managementRegular and predictable attendance Possesses unique ability to apply new technology or existing technology in creative ways to assigned product areas.Provides technical leadership to other engineers within TI Fluid Systems and develops unique and original solutions to complex technical problems or issues.Self-directed with a high degree of self-motivation.Proficient computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel,PowerPoint, PLM, etc)Education and Experience Requirements:Minimum of BSME or related engineering degree.5 to 10 years of experience.Knowledge of Vehicle management systems required.Experience Requirements:In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, methods, and disciplined in their application.Typically has 5 or more years of progressively more difficult assignments and is an accepted expert in his/her field.Education :Knowledge is typically evidenced by a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in one or more of the engineering sciencesMasters preferred

Minimum of BSME or related engineering degree
