Position Summary:

Finance Controller responsible to ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures, complete monthly financial reporting, and prepare annual planning/budgeting for the Auburn Hills Technology Center and Advanced Technology cost centers

Responsibilities of Position:

  1. Installing accounting systems and standards required for proper performance of the plant functions.
  2. Prepare monthly lab services invoicing.
  3. Prepare monthly plant financial reporting.
  4. Prepare annual business plan and monthly forecast.
  5. Prepare capital investment justifications.
  6. Track capital investment projects.
  7. Capitalize investments once the projects are completed.
  8. Complete bi-annual physical asset audits.
  9. Request development projects and track spending once projects are approved.
  10. Register development projects once completed.
  11. Completes and analyses operating and performance reports.
  12. Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.

Skill Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, or related field
2. At least 4 years experience in a related position.
3. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
4. Experience in journal entry preparation, auditing and balance sheet reconciliation.
5. Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
6. BPCS or AS400 experience preferred.

Licensing or Special Certification Requirements

  1. Valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

  1. Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time.
  2. Domestic travel up to 10%

Working Conditions:

  1. Occasionally lifts and carries up to 15 pounds.
  2. Works at telephone answering equipment and at a PC for hours at a time.
  3. Works within an automotive components manufacturing office setting and is occasionally exposed to heat, cold wet, and fumes/chemicals.

Ability to work independently and across all levels of the organization.Strong communication and leadership skills.Excellent project management, problem-solving, analytical capability, and strategic thinking skills, and the ability to execute a project within the scope of overall strategies.Understanding of relevant IFRS GAAP and/or PRC accounting standards.Strong computer skills and abilities with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, etc).Unrestricted personal integrity to represent Compliance issues convinced and trust-worthy to the internal and external organization.Occasional travel will be required (30%).

Education:

Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance, business or related field
