Position Summary:
Responsible for developing, facilitating, and implementing regional and global standards relating to product and process quality, preparing training programs for created system standards, auditing for compliance against these documents across all facilities regionally. Responsible for reporting and tracking performance to ensure compliance, issues non-conformists and auto reports then follow up on corrective actions to insure effective and read across to prevent recurrence, including external and customer audits/assessments.
Responsibilities of Position:
- Create and Improve Quality Systems
- Support the global quality, product and process in identifying requirements for new or improved processes/procedures/etc.
- Coordinate with global teams to identify best practice.
- Release new standards through QMS.
- Develop training material for teams relating to new standards.
- Provide training and support to plants in implementing new standards.
- Audit Requirements
- Conduct various types of audits (SRF/PQA/IATF) and report findings in audit reports.
- Where gaps to standards are identified, develop improvement plan in conjunction with plant management team.
- Track improvements to plan and provide follow up audits when needed.
- Monthly reporting consisting of regional standards implementation, regional audit status, and corrective actions status to global quality standards manager.
- Provide IATF 16949 leadership to facilities & corporate office including customer requirements
- Drive PPS and Yokoten systems when required.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Perform plant and corporate office internal quality system audits and issue reports to management
- Manage, maintain and update the Corporate Quality Procedures Manual, for the TS16949, Quality Management Systems.
- Manage the internal quality system corporate audit process and associated documentation and record retention.
- Facilitate contact between TI Fluid Systems and External Registrar.
- Facilitate implementation of new quality system requirements, including new company internal, customer and industry requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skill Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure environment.
- High degree of self-motivation.
- Experience in conducting or preparing for TS16949 quality system audits.
- AIAG CORE Tool Automotive training.
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, Power Point & Share Point management.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of three years in a relative position and auditing experience.
- Experience in and auditing against IATF16949 requirements.
- Experience in customer quality systems and control plan use.
- Thorough knowledge of systematic problem solving skills (PPS preferred).
- SPC, APQP, FMEA, MSA experience and AIAG CORE Tool Automotive training (VDA a plus).
- TI Fluid Systems Product Knowledge (fuel systems) & good understanding of vehicle systems.
Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and passport.
- Certified Quality Auditor or Certified Quality Engineer is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at a personal computer or manufacturing floor for extended periods of time.
- Ability to travel extensively both domestically and internationally.
Working Conditions:
- Occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds.
- Navigate around the facility and equipment on a regular and continuous basis while following safety protocol.
- Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting, and bending while working within an automotive components manufacturing, office, and laboratory setting and is exposed to heat, cold, wet, and fumes/chemicals.
Licensing or Other Special Certifications Required:
- Successful completion of a certified lead assessor course & audit license.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
