Position Summary:

Management of regional Launch Projects utilizing the Advanced Product Quality Planning Process according to TI Fluid Systems Quality Procedures - supporting strategic company targets and organization objectives. Lead and track project activities including status reporting (internally and externally) to ensure customer satisfaction and achievement of the company expectation for project developments and launches.

Responsibilities of Position:

  1. Lead / support the customer RFQ activities from Program Management side, according to APQP requirements (APQP Phase 1). Ensure appropriate customer contract and specification reviews are performed and documented.
  2. Lead, control and management of assigned projects including full responsibility for program timing, quality and cost after award until series implementation / launch (APQP Phases 2-5) - with consideration of appropriate project documentation and responsibilities per APQP definition. Ensure project timing and project deliverables (internal and external) are met including cost control and follow up. Enforce suitable use of the Advanced Product Quality Planning process by all APQP team members to ensure customer launch and related deliverables are met on time and in accordance with customer specific requirements and launch timing, as well as achievement of TIFS project targets.
    • Project costing and timing control. Control of activities / progress / status of the different functions of the multidisciplinary team according to project timing. Ensure timely completion of all deliverables, according to the responsibilities as defined in the TIFS APQP Process. Identification of critical project tasks and initiation of resolution or escalation as appropriate. Ensure program documentation in TIFS Program Management System.
    • Identification and planning for component requirements in the project. Support specification of subcomponents and project relevant supplier sourcing / coordination / activities
    • Creation and follow up of relevant project documentation (meeting minutes, project timeline, APQP documents, open issue lists, etc. according to relevant guidelines)
    • Planning and support in coordination of pre-production product deliveries to the customer including relevant documentation.
    • Support in planning for tools and equipment required for any pre-production and series builds.
    • Follow up with the plant responsible(s) to confirm production capacity prior to launch.
    • Support / follow up on product development activities to meet customer due dates.
    • Coordination and lead of internal and external project meetings
    • Management / control / follow up of the industrialization launch activities in direct alignment with the responsible plant-based team (e.g., AQP / Launch Manager)
    • Update / provide regular Activity Reports as required / defined.
    • Create and update project status reports to the customer.
  3. Responsible and accountable for the fiscal management of launch projects including engineering changes, support on compilation and approval of CAPEXs, management of development, tooling and capital spends.
  4. Lead and follow up on project target achievement to meet customer payment collections – following the internal financial planning. Forecast Capital Expenditures for area of responsibility as input for consolidating Mid-term Plans and support post launch financial audits.
  5. Manage resolution of both internal and external roadblocks / obstacles of program issues associated with launch / project activities as required. Responsible for escalating critical issues or project risks to management for according support in case topics are not resolvable at lower levels; follow up as appropriate
  6. Act as main customer contact on appropriate level for the project. Management of customer relationship with the according project interfaces.
  7. Prepare, control and present program review documents to the according management levels and project reviews. Support and lead according Launch and Milestone Gate reviews as appropriate.
  8. Conduct regular Lessons Learned Reviews across assigned projects and document results.
  9. Adherence to all company policies, procedures and business ethic codes
  10. Act as a back-up for the according Supervisor, if requested.
  11. Specific tasks based on requirements.

  6. Business Acumen and Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of launch process and critical path management. Advanced knowledge of customer systems and experience with managing customer relationships. General understanding of manufacturing processes, product designs / functionality and financial aspects of program launches. Ability to prioritize and manage time while supporting multiple programs simultaneously.
  7. Risk Management: Experience in identifying potential risks, assessment and quantification of risk impact, and development of risk mitigation plans. Knows when to request supervisor / management support.

Experience Requirements:

  1. Minimum of two years’ experience in program management (preferred in Automotive environment) or other related job function in automotive environment.

Education:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent technical education.
