Description:

Responsibilities of Position:

  • Manage orders for purchased components.
  • Maintain purchase order files and monitor supplier past due reports.
  • Manage the process of purchased receipts, update purchasing files and perform general housekeeping.
  • Identify critical requirements, contact suppliers, and verify shipments.
  • Analyze and manage inventory levels.
  • Planning and releasing requirements for purchased components using the MRP system.
  • Problem solves issues as required.
  • Coordinate new launch parts and maintain planning parameters.
  • Assist in maintaining electronic data systems files (BPCS).
  • Supervise shipping/receiving activities & personnel promoting a team atmosphere.
  • Enforce company and departmental policies applying discipline when necessary.
  • Complete 8D's and 5 Why's as required for any departmental issues/instances.
  • Understand and implement lean tools such as pull systems, Kanban, and visual aids.

Skill Requirements:

  • Drive continuous improvement.
  • Team oriented.
  • Meet TS16949 departmental requirements.
  • Backup materials manager position.
  • Responsible for the cycle count system and effectiveness of this system.
  • Manage all returnable containers.
  • Must utilize problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain material logs on SharePoint and update/create 5 why as needed.
  • Monitor production floor, shipping, receiving, and outside grounds on 5S and general housekeeping.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Job Location Specific Requirements:

Coordinates & provides leadership to all supervised employees, shipping and receiving personnel.Understand & implement lean tools such as pull systems, kanban and visuals factory.Maintain high quality standards that will exceed customer and TI needs.Maintain a high level of communications with production associates and management.Ensures new or transferred employees receive proper training and orientation.Understands and follows equipment instructions, specifications and manuals and can train others to ensure compliance.Supervise & lead cycle counter to ensure finished goods inventory control and cycle counts are accurate.Reviews O.E.M. requirements and manage shipping schedules daily.Maintain electronic data systems and proper set up of files.Maintain materials log on Sharepoint & upgrade/create 5-why’s as needed.Checks incoming materials and report shortages of damaged materials.Maintain an active program of continuous improvements and cost reductions.Manages returnable contains.Monitor production floor, shipping, receiving and outside grounds on 6S and general housekeeping.Maintain IATF 16949 standards requirements.Perform Customer Service representative activities when needed.Other duties as assigned.Skills Required to Perform the Duties of the Job:  Shipping/Receiving experience preferred.Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.Must possess good conflict resolution skills.Must be flexible with shift hours.Must have excellent attendance. Education Requirements Needed to Perform the Duties of the Job:B.S. degree in Management, Business or other appropriate degree preferred.Must be able to obtain forklift license.Must be a fluent user of Microsoft office (required experience)2-4 years in supervision experience preferred.Customer Service Experience preferred (O.E.M.)DDL Experience preferred.  

Education:

B.S. degree in Business or other appropriate degree or equivalent work experience required.
