Position Summary:
Performs a variety of engineering work including such areas as product design, manufacturing processing, test, calibration, development, and efficiency. Title may specify specialty.
Responsibilities of Position:
1. As required by the business, works with various equipment and disciplines to increase production, quality, efficiency, volume and/or environmental suitability.
2. Gathers & coordinates basic engineering data using established and appropriate or defined engineering principles and procedures.
3. Functions with limited supervision and has some latitude for unreviewed technical action and budget reallocation decision for assigned projects.
4. Applies area of specialty to design, develop and implement creative and innovative solutions to difficult problems.
5. Schedules work and assigns subordinate engineers to accomplish projects within plan and budget.
6. Reviews progress with management and recommends corrective action along with a review of alternatives.
7. Supervises & coordinates activities of assigned engineers and technicians.
8. Performs such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct; ensures adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting quality; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
9. May lead and direct the work of others.
10. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
11. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
Skill Requirements:
1. Regular and predictable attendance.

Experience Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, techniques, methods, and is disciplined in their application.
- Typically has completed 5 or more years of engineering experience.
- Knowledge is typically evidenced by a bachelor’s degree in one or more of the engineering sciences; may have a Masters Degree and may be a registered engineer.
Licensing or Special Certification Requirements:
- Valid driver's license.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time.
- Regularly travels to plant and customer sites.
Working Conditions:
- Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds and frequently carries up to 30 pounds.
- Maneuvers in, around, under, and about factory and/or laboratory equipment on a regular and continuous basis.
- Some of work time is spent standing, walking, lifting, and bending.
- Works at telephone answering equipment, design equipment, and at a PC.
- Works within an automotive components manufacturing, office, and laboratory setting and is exposed to heat, cold, wet, and fumes/chemicals.

Position Summary:Project leader to manage and coordinate the successful execution of engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery, quality, and alignment with project goals.Responsibilities of Position:1. Project planning and scheduling: Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.2. Cross functional team leadership: Lead and mentor the project team, fostering collaboration and ensuring alignment w/ project objectives.3. Stakeholder management: Serves as primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and solutions.4. Budget management: Oversee project budgets, ensuring that projects are completed within financial constraints.5. Risk management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success.6. Quality assurance: Ensure all engineering deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements.7. Resource allocation: Allocate and manage resources efficiently to optimize project performance.8. Problem-solving: Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during the project lifecycle.9. Continuous improvement: Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and outcomes.10. Other duties as assigned.Skill Requirements:1. 3+ years of experience in engineering; 5+ years in project management role.2. Knowledge in automotive engineering, especially for electric vehicles.3. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a diverse team.4. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to address and resolve project challenges and obstacles.5. Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously ensuring timely delivery of results required.6. Flexibility to work in a diverse environment.7. Strong communications skills: ability to interact and communicate at all levels, with effective upward and downward communication skills demonstrated.8. Proficiency with project management software, e.g. MS project, understanding of engineering tools and methods, e.g. FMEA, simulation, etc.9. Preferred, not required: candidate with experience transitioning between companies, demonstrating adaptability.10. Preferred, not required: candidate with experience in automotive battery structures and/or thermal managementEducation and Experience Requirements:1.
